The Board uses this group to post alerts, and other informational notices (trash and recycling changes, snow removal, meeting dates, etc.) and provides a forum for residents and owners to communicate between themselves.

Household Trash Collection

Trash & Recycling pickup is collected on Fridays.

As of January 1st 2023, our Trash pickup is contracted through Home Hauling LLC.

For rules and regulations regarding this service, please refer to the policy section.

The following items are examples of recyclable materials:

Ceramic dishes, cups, glassware
Juice boxes/pouches
Foam cups or packing material
Windows, mirrors, sheet glass

Bulk Pickup

Bulk pickup is available upon request; please email Home Hauling at [email protected] and CC Ingrid, our community manager.
Generally anything that does not fit in your provided trash bin is considered a bulk item.
Yard waste, trimmings are considered bulk items and should be bundled for composting.

Household Hazardous Waste & Electronic Recycling Disposal

Household hazardous waste and electronics is provided by Alexandria City, specifics can be found here. This service is by drop off, located at 3224 Colvin Street, accepted on Mondays and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (except holidays). Please reference the link provided above for a detailed list of acceptable and non-acceptable items.

Landscaping and Watering

Grounds keeping and landscaping in the community is contracted to Blade Runners; however, resident help is important to keeping plantings thriving.

Homeowners are encouraged and responsible for beautifying their yards, steps and porches with flowers and other plants that are harmonious and attractive within the community setting.

Per Policy Resolution 95-1:

“owners are responsible for the upkeep of any plants or bushes they add and must be kept in a care-for condition”

At present, there is no coordinated or outside watering service. The entire community needs your help to water your yard and near-by common areas. Please help to take care of the plants and trees in your community by watering them as necessary. Together we can keep Colecroft green!

Snow Removal

The current Colecroft OA snow removal contract activates when there is in excess of two (2) inches of snow accumulation. Our private snow removal contract covers the roadway of Colecroft Court, the parking areas (including the satellite parking lot at the end of Oronoco Street), and the sidewalks, stairs and stoops within the Colecroft development. It does not cover the roadways of Oronoco Street or North West Street.

Monthly Assessments

Colecroft Owners Association (HOA) Membership Fees (assessments) are due the 1st day of each month. After ten (10) days, a late fee will be applied. Payment can be made to Capitol Property Management via check, direct debit, or online via our payment processor ComWeb - http://comwebportal.com.
